منذ سنوات والسعودية قد دخلت في مفاوضات مع الجانب البريطاني حول عقد ثاني لمقاتلات Typhoon يتراوح عددها ما بين 48-72 مقاتلة ، ويتوقع ان توقع السعودية على طلبيتها الجديدة خلال 2016-2017 لتضاف الى طلبيتها الاولى بعدد 72 مقاتلة

كذلك عمان التي تعاقدت على 12 مقاتلة فقط في ديسمبر 2012 وسوف تستلم اول دفعة منها بحلول منتصف العام القادم ، وفي الحقيقة عمان تعاقدت على مقاتلات Typhoon لاستبدال اسطول المقاتلات الهجومية Jaguar المتقادمة والتي يقدر عددها بـ 20 مقاتلة ، لذلك اتوقع ان تتعاقد على 12 مقاتلة اخرى ليكون الاجمالي 24 مقاتلة Typhoon

اما بالنسبة للكويت العميل الجديد في نادي الـ Eurofighter ، ففي شهر ابريل الفائت قد تعاقدت على شراء 28 مقاتلة Typhoon ، فمن متوقع ان توقع على عقد ثاني لعدد 18 مقاتلة اخرى ليرتفع عدد طائراتها الى 46 مقاتلة Typhoon

Our Capability Roadmap is making good progress and we have
achieved our major milestones in previous years. For example: We signed
significant contracts for the already mentioned integration of METEOR,
STORM SHADOW, and the development contract for the E-SCAN radar.
Let me share more information with you on our phased enhancements:
Phase 1 Enhancement B (P1Eb) was delivered to the nations in June 2014
conferring full swing-role capability onto the TYPHOON. P2Ea is expected
to be delivered by 2016 conferring STORM SHADOW capability onto the
aircraft and delivering a range of enhancements through EP2 to the HMI,
MIDS and DASS systems. P2Eb which is expected to deliver full METEOR
capability onto the Eurofighter TYPHOON. P3Ea will focus on the delivery
of BRIMSTONE 2 capability and a range of other enhancements and the
delivery date for this is dependent on customer requirements. The require-
ments of the Kuwait customer will be progressed in a further package called
P3Eb. P4E is the subject of discussions with the customer and is expected
to deliver a range of enhancements in three phases. Delivery of P4E is
expected between 2019 and 2022, again dependent on customer requirements.

من المقرر ان تستمر رحلات الطيران التجريبية لصواريخ Brimstone 2 حتى العام القادم 2017 والذي سوف يشهد اول رماية حية للصاروخ

واعمال دمج صواريخ Brimstone 2 سوف يتضمن نحو 70 طلعة جوية باستخدام طائرتي اختبار هما Typhoon IPA6 ، وثاني مقاتلة Tranche 3A في سلاح الجو البريطاني وهي BS117/ZK356

استمرار التطويرات على مقاتلات Eurofighter Typhoon



599 طائرة قد تم التعاقد عليها حتى الان مع تسليم 478 طائرة ، وقد تم تسليم 47 طائرة منها خلال الـ 12 شهر الماضية الى خمس عملاء ، ووفقاً للسيد Alberto Gutierrez مدير برنامج Eurofighter في شركة Airbus D&S اذ قال خلال عرض قدمه في Trade Media Briefing 2016 "ان تطويرات حزمة مرحلة التعزيز الرابعة P4E سوف تتضمن تطوير منظومة DASS ، اتساع نطاق الترددات المنخفضة ، قدرات تشويش معززة ، تحديد الموقع الجغرافي بشكل سلبي ، دمج ذخائر معززة ، وحمولات وذخائر اضافية" ، وقال ايضاً "نحن نتوقع لاطلاق برنامج تطوير منتصف العمر MLU في عام 2025"

وقد تم برهنة مقاتلات Eurofighter Typhoon بشكل عملي ، فخلال 12 شهراً الماضية اشتركت في تمرين Red Flag ، الدورية الجوية في البلقان ، وكذلك اشتركت في العمليات العسكرية في سوريا والعراق مع سلاح الجو البريطاني وفي اليمن مع القوات الجوية السعودية ، وقال Alberto Gutierrez في هذا الصدد "ان المعلومات الواردة من العمليات تجعلني فخوراً بدرجة كبيرة"

العقد الاخير والذي وقعته الكويت في يوم 5 ابريل لاجل الحصول على 22 طائرة احادية المقاعد و 6 طائرات ثنائية المقاعد وبهذا تصير الكويت العميل الثامن ، وبشأن المفاوضات مع ماليزيا بقيادة شركة BAE Systems والحكومة البريطانية اشار Alberto Gutierrez "انه لا يوجد أي جديد حتى اللحظة" ، بينما في اندونيسيا قال "نحن نعتقد انه لدينا عرضاً جيداً لإعادة تنشيط الصناعات الاندونيسية"

واردف "في منطقة الخليج نحن نأمل الحصول على طلبات جديدة من العملاء الحاليين ونحن مهتمون جداً للدخول في قطر" ، "وفي اوروبا نحن نعتقد اننا مرشحاً مثالياً لاستبدال مقاتلات F-16 ، في الوقت الحالي لازلنا نناقش مع الدنمارك ونحن بانتظار الرد ، في فلندا فانها تحتاج الى استبدال مقاتلات F-18 وكذلك في بلجيكا وبولندا ، سويسرا كذلك ستستبدل اسطول مقاتلاتها القديمة ، ونحن نعتقد اننا مستمرون في اوروبا" ، "وعلاوة على ذلك فان مقاتلات Typhoon هي افضل الطائرات تلبي متطلبات الحكومة الكندية ، ومن حيث الاسعار والجودة نحن ند ممتاز ، نحن مستعدون وحريصون للمشاركة في كلاً من المانيا واسبانيا كدول قيادية"

وفيما يخص برنامج سلاح الجو الالماني لمقاتلات المستقبل Future Combat Air System – FCAS ، قال Alberto Gutierrez "يريدون منا تحقيق بديل لمقاتلات Tornado تتكامل مع مقاتلات Typhoon ، فريق مأهول وغير مأهول هي واحدة من تلك التكنولوجيات المعنية ، ونحن نعتقد انها سوف تكون طائرات غير مأهولة بمقدورها حمل قنابل ويتم التحكم بها بواسطة طائرات مأهولة (عدد 2 طيارين مقاتلات) ، ونحن نعمل في الوقت الحالي مع سلاح الجو الالماني لنرى ان ذلك لن تكون البداية من الصفر كما انها لن تكون رخيصة"

وفيما يتعلق بالرادار E-Scan ، الالتزام من كل من الكويت والمانيا واسبانيا هي موجودة بالفعل ، بينما يقوم سلاح الجو الايطالي بأخذها بالاعتبار ، وبناءً على توقيع العقود فانه من الممكن للرادار ان يدخل نطاق العمل في عام 2018 ، ويتوقع Alberto Gutierrez ان تبدأ مرحلة الانتاج في عام 2017 بحيث تكون الكويت اول عميل يحصل على هذا الرادار



Continuous Improvement on the Eurofighter TYPHOON

599 Eurofighter TYPHOONs are on on order with 478 aircraft delivered; out of these 47 were delivered to five customers in the last 12 months. “We have been investing a lot to have the airframe fully up to speed,” Alberto Gutierrez, Head of Airbus Defence & Space (DS) Eurofighter Programme, in a presentation during the annual Trade Media Briefing 2016 (TMB16), said. P4E enhancements include DASS, low band extension, enhanced jamming, passive geolocation, enhanced weapon integration, and additional stores and weapons. “We are expecting to run MLU in 2025,” he informed.

Eurofighter TYPHOON has been proven in action, with the last 12 months involving Red Flag exercises, Baltic Air Policing, and in operation with the RAF over Syria/Iraq, and over Yemen with the Royal Saudi Arabian Air Force. “Feedback from operation makes me extremely proud,” the head of Eurofighter programme boasted.

Continuous improvement on the aircraft is currently ongoing with several user nations contracts signed, e.g. a 5-year extension for logistic and engineering support services from 2017 onwards with the four core nations. Also, new customers are looking at aircraft deliveries by 2019, which is possible, according to the industry expert.

The latest contract was signed with Kuwait for 22 single seat and six twin seat Eurofighter TYPHOONs on 5 April. Kuwait has become the eighth customer. On export opportunities, Gutierrez told the audience that Malaysia under the lead of BAE Systems and the UK government has no news at the moment, while in Indonesia, “we believe we have a good offer to re-vitalise Indonesian industry."

“In the Gulf, we hope for new orders from existing customers, and are very interested in getting into Qatar,” he continued. “In Europe we believe we are a perfect candidate as a F-16 replacement. We are currently contesting the Danish desicion, and are awaiting the response. Finland has to replace F-18, as well as fighter-replacements in Belgium, and Poland. Switzerland also has to replace their old fighter fleet, and we believe we have to keep going in Europe. On top of that, Eurofighter TYPHOON is the best aircraft for Canadian government demands, and in terms of pricing and quality we are an excellent match. We are ready, we are keen to be involved with either Germany and Spain as the lead nation.”

On the topic of the German Air Force’s (Luftwaffe) Future Combat Air System (FCAS), Gutierrez said: “They want us to investigate a TORNADO replacement, complimentary to the Eurofighter TYPHOON. Man-Unmanned Teaming is one of the technologies involved. We believe it will be a non-manned aircraft that carries bombs, being controlled by a manned aircraft (a two pilot aircraft). We are currently working with the Luftwaffe, seeing that it will not be a starting from scratch aircraft, as it will not be inexpensive

On the topic of the E-Scan radar, the commitment by Kuwait, Germany, and Spain is already there, while the Italian Air Force is considering it. Upon contract signatures, the radar could be fielded by 2018, and Gutierrez expects production to begin 2017, with Kuwait possibly being the first customer

اختبارات الاسلحة لمقاتلات Typhoon في المسار الصحيح لبريطانيا



نشاطات المشروع البريطاني سنتريون Project Centurion يسير في المسار الصحيح لتحقيق الانتقال السلس بين المقاتلات الهجومية Tornado GR4 والمقاتلات المتعددة الادوار Eurofighter Typhoon في وقت لاحق من هذا العقد ، وفقاً لما صرحه Andy Flynn من شركة BAE Systems يوم 9 يونيو الفائت اذ قال "نحن على الطريق الصحيح"

ومع حلول نهاية عام 2018 ، يجب ان تنتقل المهام الهجومية الحالية لمقاتلات Tornado GR4 الى مقاتلات Typhoon بشكل كامل بما فيها الصواريخ الجوالة Storm Shadow والتي سوف يكون بمقدور مقاتلات Typhoon حمل واطلاق هذه الصواريخ من خلال برنامج P2E ، بالإضافة الى صواريخ Meteor للقتال الجوي بعيد المدى

Typhoon weapons testing on target for UK

The UK’s Project Centurion activity is on track to deliver a seamless transition between the UK Royal Air Force’s Panavia Tornado GR4 strike aircraft and the multi-role Eurofighter Typhoon later this decade, according to BAE Systems.

“We’re on course,” Andy Flynn, BAE’s delivery director for the Centurion and Typhoon projects, said at the company’s Warton final assembly site in Lancashire on 9 June.

By the end of 2018, the current strike potential of the Tornado must have been fully moved to the Typhoon – including its use of the MBDA Storm Shadow cruise missile (above). In its P2E guise the Typhoon will be able to deploy the weapon, plus the same supplier’s Meteor beyond-visual-range air-to-air missile.

Further flight-testing of both weapons is currently underway, with a final release of the Storm Shadow from the platform due to be conducted in mid-June. To be made over a test range in the Hebrides while operating from Stornoway, this will be “an end-to-end test, with data passed to the weapon and the missile fired up”, Flynn says. Previous tests have involved un-powered releases from the Eurofighter.

The Royal Air Force will conduct additional testing from Warton, before work shifts to its Coningsby base in Lincolnshire early next year. Entry into service is scheduled later in 2017 or during 2018, according to BAE, will full capability to follow.

A final phase of test work with the Meteor is also scheduled for July, with this to include the last two development clearance firings with the missile.

Meanwhile, early work on a P3E weapons enhancement for the UK is already being conducted, with this involving MBDA’s developmental Brimstone 2 air-to-surface missile (image above shows six being carried).

“Brimstone 2 will be flying this summer,” says Flynn. The activity will involve instrumented production aircraft IPA6 and single-seat Typhoon BS117

الرماية العملياتية الاخيرة لصاروخ Storm Shadow من مقاتلات Typhoon



تستعد شركة BAE Systems بالقيام بالطلعة الجوية الاخيرة لدمج صواريخ Storm Shadow على مقاتلات Typhoon والتي متوقع ان تكون في يوم 13 يونيو ، وسوف يجري خلال هذه الطلعة الاختبارية رماية حية للصاروخ في وضع عملياتي

الرماية سوف تجري في ميدان Hebrides للصواريخ من مقاتلة Typhoon يقودها طيار اختبار تابع للشركة ، تحت الاستعداد لأجل التصريح لحزمة التطوير P2E للعمل على المقاتلة

Typhoon weapons testing gathers momentum

The final live powered launch of a MBDA Storm Shadow cruise missiles from a Eurofighter Typhoon is due to take place on 13 June as part of on-going efforts to integrate the weapon onto the European combat aircraft.

The firing at the Hebrides missile range in the UK is being launched from a Typhoon piloted by a company test pilot, flying from BAE Systems' Warton site under the drive to clear the aircraft to P2E enhancement standard, according to BAE Systems Eurofighter delivery director Andy Flynn.

Speaking to IHS Jane's on 8 June, Flynn said the company and its partners in the Eurofighter consortium would then carry out data analysis from the test to open its employment envelop. "We will then talk with the customer on how to release the weapon into service", he said. "The UK customer will then do their own flight trials at RAF Coningsby [in Lincolnshire] next year."

The P2E project aims to bring the Storm Shadow and the MBDA Meteor beyond visual range missile into service during 2017 and will then roll into the P3E effort to bring the MBDA Brimstone into service by the end of 2018. The first live firings of the Brimstone are scheduled for next year.

According to Flynn the aim is to have development and entry to service process of the all three weapons complete by the end of 2018 to allow the Typhoon to take over the taskings from the RAF Panavia Tornado GR4 strike aircraft.

The work on the P2E and P3E standard weapons integration will soon start to benefit Typhoon export efforts. Flynn said the most recent Typhoon export customer, Kuwait, expected to buy aircraft that have the most advanced version of the software, dubbed P3Eb. "The UK P3Ea will be the baseline for the Kuwait jets," he said
