The Ministry of Defence of Saudi Arabia signed with the American company Sikorsky the contract on modification of eight multi-purpose UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters in the GSC standard, reports Jane's. The amount of transaction made 105,3 million dollars. Under the terms of the agreement, work has to be complete until the end of March, 2016. Subsequently the contract can be expanded to 24 helicopters. Within the project on helicopters standard T700-GE-701D engines, a control system of flight of CMC 2028MC and a digital automatic onboard control system will be installed. Besides, UH-60M will receive a "glass" cabin of pilots, the AN/APN-209 (v) radio altimeter, the improved collimator system, an automatic radio direction finder of AN/ARN-149 (v), navigation equipment of AN/ARN-153, a communication system and recognition "-others". In total, by eight Black Hawk helicopters of Saudi Arabia more than 25 changes will be made, including also installation of new systems of self-defense, monitoring systems of technical condition of the car, a chair of pilots and machine guns of M240-H of caliber of 7,62 millimeters. At last, on UH-60M systems of a suspension bracket of ESSS on which it is possible to fix suspended fuel tanks, infrared sensors, monitoring systems of a state of environment and arms will be mounted. It should be noted that modifications will be subjected helicopters from structure of larger consignment of UH-60M bought by Saudi Arabia in 2010. In total military department of this country got 72 new UH-60M helicopters. Now Saudi Arabia possesses 21 multi-purpose S-70/UH-60A/L helicopters. UH-60A cars under the contract of 2011 have to pass modernization to the version M.
