من المقرر أن تستضيف الرياض مؤتمر المملكة الدفاعي الذي سينعقد في شهر أبريل المقبل,, المؤتمر برعاية الأمير سلمان وزير الدفاع سيناقش الأخطار المحيطة بالمملكة والدول الخليجية وسبل مواجهتها وكيفية توحيد الجهود الدبلوماسية والعسكرية لمواجهتها مع العلم بأن ميزانية الدفاع السعودية تعتبر رابع أكبر ميزانية في العالم بعد أمريكا والصين وروسيا بمقدار 52 مليار دولار وسترتفع ل 77 مليار $ بحلول عام 2018 !

The Kingdom ranks in 7th position among the top 10 countries in defence expenditure and is expected to grow at a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 7.92% to reach US $ 77.3 billion by 2018.
