وماذا عن قدرات جو سطح هل هناك اي تجارب حاليا على دمج صواريخ جو سطح وهل من الممكن استخدام اي من الاسلحه العامله على التايفون حاليا لمهاجمة اهداف بحريه

حالياً لا يوجد غير تجارب دمج الصواريخ الجوالة Storm Shadow للقصف العميق طويل المدى
باقي حزمة الذخائر مثل صواريخ Brimstone 2 التكتيكي والصواريخ المضادة للسفن سيتم دمجها كجزء من برنامج التعزيز الثالث P3E
ويمكن استخدام القنابل الموجهة بالليزر\GPS مثل Paveway IV و EGBU-16 لمهاجمة الاهداف البحرية

Eurofighter: new aerodynamics set for 2014 test flight

Eurofighter will by year-end make is final proof-of-concept test flight on an aerodynamic modification kit that promises to improve the combat aircraft’s subsonic turn rate by 15%.

Adding leading edge root extensions and extended trailing edge flaps, and reshaping the side-of-cockpit ILS antennae covers as 70° delta strakes should improve the aircraft’s agility for close-quarters combat.

Laurie Hilditch, head of future capabilities at Eurofighter, says the modification kit should give the aircraft the sort of “knife-fight in a phone box” turning capability enjoyed by rivals such as Boeing’s F/A-18E/F or the Lockheed Martin F-16, without sacrificing the transonic and supersonic high-energy agility inherent to its delta wing-canard configuration.

Speaking at Airbus Defence & Space's Manching Eurofighter final assembly and maintenance facility near Munich, Hilditch says the root extensions – or LERX – have already flown and show significant improvement in the subsonic airflow over the wings. And, changing the shape of the ILS antennae cover to resemble a delta strake does the same for the vertical tail fin. The canards, he adds, act as strakes but not throughout their range of movement.



A further boost to agility could also come from the addition of thrust vectoring, which Hilditch likens to an extra control surface. Eurofighter, he says, has done quite a bit of work on the concept and could move forward with customer interest.

التزمت شركتا بي أي إيه سيستمز (BAE Systems)
ويوروفايتر (Eurofighter) العملاقتان بمواجهة التحديات التي من الممكن أن تواجهانها
في المستقبل. وإن التعاون سوياً على أضخم برنامج لتحديث مقاتلات تايفون (Typhoon)،
عزّز هذا الالتزام بشكل أكبر كما ثبّت مكانة المقاتلة باعتبارها عالمية متعددة
المهام. في هذا الإطار، وفي حديث خاص مع مجلة "الأمن والدفاع العربي"، أكّدت مصادر
موثوقة من BAE Systems أن "الشركة في حوار دائم مع زبنائها في الشرق الأوسط
لتزويدهم بأجدّ قدرات منتجاتها."

لقد تم تطوير مجموعة التحديثات، المعروفة بِ "تحسينات المرحلة الأولى" (Phase 1 Enhancements) التي عملت عليها شركة BAE Systems مع الشركات الشريكة لِـ Eurofighter وسلاح الجو الملكي ووزارة الدفاع البريطانية، على خلفية العمليات في ليبيا ولتثبيت مكانة المقاتلة. وتتضمن عملية تحسين المقاتلة، قدرات حوسبة معززة وأنظمة أسلحة مدمجة مطوّرة ومجموعات أجهزة استشعار محسّنة، مما سيجعل مقاتلة تايفون تتميز بفعالية أكبر خاصة في مهمات جو- جو وجو- سطح أو مزيج من النوعين ضمن مهمة واحدة.

توفّر مجموعة تحسينات المرحلة الأولى مرونة أكبر خلال
التخطيط للبعثات كما تسمح لطيار واحد من مهاجمة ستة أهداف في طلعة جوية واحدة.

تنقسم التحسينات إلى "تحسينات المرحلة الأولى (أ)"
و"تحسينات المرحلة الأولى (ب)"، وهو أمر سيرفع من مستوى المقاتلة المتعددة الأدوار.
وفي هذا الإطار، قال مدير متطلبات مقاتلة تايفون، المقدّم الطيار ستيفين ويليامز:
"تسمح تحسينات المرحلة الأولى (ب) للمقاتلة أن تبدأ بتحقيق القدرة على القيام بمهام
جو- أرض وجو- جو. إن القدرة التي نتمتع بها للتبديل بين المستويين يتعتبر خطوة كبرى
خاصة وأنها تؤمن مرونة كبيرة لطيارينا خلال العمليات".

توفر حزمة تحسينات المرحلة الأولى (ب) أيضاً تحديثات
لنظام المساعدات الدفاعية الفرعي وآخر تحديثات التشغيل البيني لأنظمة التوزيع
والمعلومات المتعدد الوظائف. وستضمن تلك التحديثات أن تبقى تايفون إحدى المقاتلات
الأكثر فعالية.

لقد تم اختبار مجموعة تحسينات المرحلة الأولى من قبل
فريق صناعي وأعضاء من وزارة الدفاع البريطانية.

ومن جهته، علّق مدير قسم القتال الجوي في شركة BAE
Systems مارتن تايلور: "تُعدّ تحسينات المرحلة الأولى قفزة هائلة في مجالي دمج
القدرات والعمل المشترك كفريق واحد. ولقد تأكّدنا من أنه لن تواجهنا أي مشاكل حين
تدخل الحزمة الخدمة. لقد سلّمنا قدرة مجهّزة بالتدريب والدعم اللازمين للتأكد من أن
الحزمة قابلة للاستخدام من اليوم الأول."

تجدر الإشارة إلى أن الطائرات الـ15 الأولى التي خضعت
للمرحلة الأولى من التحسينات هي في الخدمة حالياً مع سلاح الجو البريطاني كما سيتم
تسليم الطائرات الـ18 الأخرى في 1 نيسان/أبريل 2015.

واخيراً وبعد طول انتظار تم اليوم الاربعاء 19 نوفمبر توقيع عقد بين وكالة NETMA وشركة يوروفايتر GmbH بقيمة مليار يورو (1.6 مليار دولار) وذلك لانتاج ودمج الرادار المتطور Captor-E AESA على التايفون

وقد حضر وزراء الدفاع لكل من بريطانيا وايطاليا واسبانيا والمانيا لمشاهدة هذا الحدث الهام ضمن مسيرة برنامج مقاتلات التايفون

الرادار الثوري الجديد Captor-E AESA سيوفر للتايفون قدرات متفوقة اكثر من سلفه ذو المسح الميكانيكي Captor-M مما يحسن الفعالية القتالية لها اذ يملك الرادار الجديد مديات كشف وتعقب اكبر وقدرات متقدمة في انماط الهجوم جو - ارض وايضاً تدابير حماية الكترونية معززة

من السمات الرئيسية لهذا الرادار انه يملك هوائي كبير وفوق ذلك فهو قابل للحركة (Wide Field of Regard-WFoR) مما يعطيه مجال رؤية يقدر ب 200 درجة وهذا يعطي المقاتلة ميزة تكتيكية كبيرة في القتال الجوي وزيادة في الادراك الظرفي للمعركة

ميزة اخرى يوفرها كبر حجم الهوائي هو امكانية تركيب اعداد كبيرة من وحدات الارسال والاستقبال T/R وبالتالي تعطي طاقة اكبر مما يؤدي الى اكتشاف الاهداف مبكراً وفوائد كبرا في مجال الحرب الالكترونية EW















Defence Ministers from the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Spain met in Edinburgh, Scotland, on Wednesday 19th November to witness the signing of a €1bn contract for the development of a world-leading electronic radar system for the Eurofighter Typhoon.

The contract, between Eurofighter Jadgflugzeug GmbH and NETMA, the NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency (NETMA), will enable the integration of Captor E-Scan, the world’s most advanced Active Electronically Scanned Array Radar System (AESA) onto the Eurofighter Typhoon.

The fighter’s large nose aperture, combined with the ability to move the antenna, will give the Eurofighter Typhoon greater ‘vision’ than its competitors, delivering better operational performance to the aircraft and to its weapon system.

Alberto Gutierrez, the CEO of Eurofighter, described the occasion as “a pivotal moment” in the life of the Eurofighter Programme. He said: “The signing of this contract is a massive boost to all of us and is a pivotal moment. It enhances a weapons system that offers a mix of capabilities that is simply unmatched anywhere in the world. It’s something that Europe should be immensely proud of.”

Air Vice-Marshal Graham Farnell, who signed the contract on behalf of the Partner Nations, said: “The Eurofighter Typhoon lies at the heart of NATO airpower and will continue to do so for many decades to come. This new capability will ensure the fighter remains a vital component in the mix. It’s an historic day in the life of the Programme.”

The Eurofighter consortium, along with its primary supplier, Euroradar, and a range of other suppliers across Europe, will all contribute to the integration programme helping further sustain high technology jobs across the four nations.

Andrew Cowdery, the Chairman of Euroradar, said: “We have already been working closely with Eurofighter and the Eurofighter Partner Companies on this milestone development and we are delighted that the future of this key capability has now been secured. Captor E-Scan radar builds on the best know-how, industrial expertise and collaboration among leading European defence electronics companies”.

This milestone confirms the commitment of the four Nations to provide the Eurofighter Typhoon with the best capabilities to seize current and emerging opportunities in the export market.

Both Eurofighter and Euroradar have confirmed that the radar has significant growth potential and existing and new customers will be able to participate in tailoring the radar to meet their individual operational requirements.


Background Information:

Captor E-Scan radar capability will further improve the Eurofighter Typhoon's combat effectiveness, allowing Typhoon to continue to maintain its superiority over other available combat aircraft.

The radar will fit both Tranche 2 and Tranche 3 aircraft offering customers the freedom to retrofit their existing Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft when required.

Captor E-Scan radar offers a variety of benefits over the mechanical M-Scan, including increased detection and tracking ranges, advanced air-to-surface capability and enhanced electronic protection measures.

The new radar retains the key features of the existing Captor radar architecture in order to exploit the maturity of the current much acclaimed system and will use latest generation technology to execute concurrently a full complement of air-to-air and air-to-surface tasks.

Key discriminators of Captor E-Scan radar include:

A very large antenna size and repositioner offering an extremely Wide Field of Regard (WFoR).

The 200 degree field of regard is significantly larger than typical ‘fixed plate’ AESA radars, giving Typhoon a significant tactical advantage in air combat and greater situational awareness.

The larger antenna allows a greater number of TRMs (transmitter receiver modules) thus greater power and reception leading to earlier target detection and greater utility across the EW spectrum.

الرادار الجديد سيكون النسخة +Radar 1

اما فيما يخص عدد وحدات الارسال والاستقبال T/R modules فلا تزال سرية وغير معلومة على نحو الدقة

لكن بشكل رسمي فهي ما بين 1000 - 2000 وحدة وبشكل غير رسمي فهي تتراوح ما بين 1400 - 1500 وحدة

The Captor E-Scan radar has already begun flight testing, with a dummy unit making its first flight aboard the company's IPA5 development aircraft in July this year. In terms of compatibility, the system is currently designed for integration aboard Tranche 2 & 3 Eurofighter Typhoons, with the possibility of modifying Tranche 1 aircraft to carry the system.

The oldest frontline Royal Air Force squadron in the world achieved another first recently -25 November 2014.

No 1(Fighter) Squadron, based at RAF Lossiemouth, successfully released 2 live Paveway IVweapons at Cape Wrath Training Area as part of the Squadron’s task to deliver the latest Typhoon capability upgrade, known as P1Eb.

Officer Commanding 1(Fighter) Squadron, Wing Commander Mike Sutton, said:

“This is another landmark moment for the Typhoon Force, and highlights the aircraft’s potent swing role capability. The successful weapon drops are a superb reflection on the dedication and achievement of everyone who has been involved in this capability enhancement.

“The swing role capability of the Typhoon ensures that we are well equipped to respond to the challenges of contingent operations across the globe, while also maintaining the security of UK skies through the delivery of Quick Reaction Alert, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”

P1Eb is predominantly an air to ground capability upgrade; it provides enhancements to the Litening III Laser Designator Pod (LDP) and Helmet Equipment Assembly (HEA) (helmet mounted sight) integration, as well as with Paveway IV. The LDP can now also be used seamlessly with the HEA to visually identify air tracks at long range, as well as identifying, tracking and targeting points on the ground.

The Paveway IV offers increased precision, stand-off, and flexibility of employment, and the Typhoon can release a number of weapons to different targets in a single pass.

1(Fighter) Squadron has conducted 8 Paveway IV drops this week, with a mix of profiles including GPS and laser guidance; pre-planned and target of opportunity using the HEA; and employing both impact and airburst fusing settings on the weapon.

1(Fighter) Squadron will release a further 20 Paveway IV weapons when they deploy to the USA for Exercise Red Flag in January 2015. The Typhoon aircraft will be conducting full swing role training sorties, day and night, fighting through the hostile air and ground threats, and then conducting the Paveway IV releases as part of the missions. These sorties will also involve full integration with the US Air Force F22 Raptor aircraft, which is a key area for the RAF as it looks to introduce the Lightning II in the coming years.
