المانيا تصدر الورقة الاستراتيجية للقدرات الجوية

وفيما يخص التايفون ، فطائرات Tranche 1 قابلة لتشغيلها لتلبية الالتزامات الدولية والوطنية ، وتسليم طائرات Tranche 2/3A سوف يكتمل في عام 2018

تطويرات متسارعة سوف تحصل عليها التايفون الالمانية في الذخائر جو-سطح ، وتشمل قنابل GBU-48 على المدى القريب ، وصواريخ هجوم ارضي قصيرة المدى بحلول عام 2020 ، وصواريخ هجوم ارضي متوسطة المدى كذلك من عام 2020 ، وصواريخ مؤثرة جديدة للضربات البحرية المضادة للسفن ASuW واخرى لمهام اخماد الدفاعات الجوية المعادية SEAD ابتداءاً من عام 2025 ، وسوف تزود بمستشعرات جديدة مثل الرادار AESA وحاضن تهديف متقدم ، كل ذلك سيكون خلال هذه الفترة



Germany issues inaugural Air Capability Strategy Paper



The German Department of Defence released on 19 January its first Air Capability Strategy Paper to highlight the Bundeswehr's aviation strategy and equipment priorities over the coming years.

The paper, which will complement the federal government's civil aviation strategy, is geared at providing transparency to Germany's military aviation current capabilities, as well as its medium- to long-term future requirements.

According to the Department of Defence, the long-term remit of the report is critical, given the extended timelines taken to develop current and future military technologies, combined with the fact that most if not all of Germany's planned capabilities will be developed by international consortia. With some 22,000 citizens involved in the defence industry this clarity is essential.

Key programmes and platforms referenced in the report include the Future Combat Air System (FCAS); the Eurofighter Typhoon; the Panavia Tornado; the Airbus Defence and Space (DS) A400M Atlas; the Airbus DS A310 MultiRole Tanker Transport (MRTT); the Lockheed Martin P-3 Orion; the Northrop Grumman MQ-4 Triton; the European medium-altitude long-endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) 2020; KZP and Luna tactical UAVs; naval vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) UAVs for K130 corvettes; stratospheric UAVs and/or satellites; Airbus Helicopters Tiger; VFW-Sikorsky CH-53G/GS/GA Stallion; NHIndustries NH90; Westland Sea Lynx; as well as the NATO-operated Boeing E-3 Airborne Early Warning And Control System (AWACS).

Specifically, while the FCAS concept will rest on the Typhoon as the air-defence pillar for the foreseeable future, the search for a Tornado replacement platform (either manned or unmanned/optionally manned) is to be implemented, and studied further in 2016 (including talks with potential European partners).

Typhoon Tranche 1 aircraft are to be operated as long as economically viable to meet national and international commitments, with delivery of the later Tranche 2/3A aircraft to be complete in 2018. Spiral upgrades with air-surface armaments (including GBU-48 in the near term, a short-range ground-attack missile by 2020, a medium-range ground-attack missile from 2020, and new effectors for maritime anti-surface warfare [ASuW] and suppression-of-enemy-air defences [SEAD] roles from the 2025 time frame) and sensors (including an active electronically scanned array radar and enhanced targeting pod) are envisaged at this stage.

طيارين سلاح الجو البريطاني يختبرون بنجاح نظامي ادراك التهديدات وسلامة الطيارين المطورين لمقاتلات التايفون

تم اختبار احدث حزمة تطويرية للمقاتلة اليوروفايتر تايفون بنجاح من قبل طياري سلاح الجو الملكي البريطاني وذلك في شركة BAE Systems البريطانية في وارتن

الجزء الاول من حزمة مرحلة التعزيز الثانية المعروفة بحزمة P2EA كانت قد اختبرت على التايفون عبر طيارين من سلاح الجو الملكي البريطاني (سرب التقييم والاختبار) الواقع في قاعدة Coningsby الجوية ، وحزمة P2EA تتضمن تحديث للبرمجيات ولالكترونيات الطيران مثل ترقية للرادار وللنظام الدفاعي DASS وكذلك لحاضن التهديف بالليزر ، وهذه التطويرات لا تزيد قدرة ادراك التهديدات وسلامة الطيارين فحسب بل ايضاً تطور قدرات الاستهداف للتايفون ، وكما هو معروف ان حزمة P2EA هي جزء من حزمة مرحلة التعزيز الثانية الكاملة Phase 2 Enhancement للتايفون

والاختبارات على هذه الحزمة سوف تستمر خلال العام الحالي 2016 ، مع اختبارات دمج للذخائر هي ايضاً مجدولة في هذا العام

قائد جناح الطيران السيد Steven Berry ، قائد السرب رقم 41(R) للتقييم والاختبار قال في هذه المناسبة :

"تطويرات حزمة P2EA سوف تجلب بعض القدرات الرئيسة مضافة للقدرات الحالية ، وهذه التطويرات بالنسبة لمنصة جو-سطح ، تعني ان التايفون لديها البساطة والمرونة في التصميم لاستخدامها بسهولة في مهامات الدعم الجوي القريب CAS او اكثر السيناريوهات المعقدة"

"وبحلول عام 2019 التايفون سوف تقوم بالكثير من المهام مثل الدفاع الجوي عن بريطانيا والطلعات الجوية الدفاعية والهجومية والضربات بعيدة المدى وكذلك الدعم الجوي القريب ، وهذه المهارات العديدة تحتاجها اسراب الصف الامامي والتايفون تحتاج لتسليم كل هذه القدرات ضمن قمرة قيادة بسيطة ويمكن الاعتماد عليها"

والسرب رقم 41(R) للتقييم والاختبار (Test and Evaluation Squadron) اجرى اختبارين نموذجين على الاصدار P2EA وهما تمرين جو-جو وتمرين جو-سطح مع محاكاة لاستهداف الاهداف ، وقد تم تقييم التغذية الرجعية من هذين الاختبارين وسوف تستخدم في التصميم النهائي

اما السيد Andy Flynn ، رئيس برنامج تسليم القدرات الجوية في شركة BAE Systems قال :

"ان العمل مع فريق اختبار العميل في هذه المرحلة تقدم لنا تغذية رجعية لا تقدر بثمن بحيث تمكننا من عملية التقييم مع الاثر الرجعي المباشرة خلال مرحلة التصميم ، ومنهجية حملة الاختبارات هي جزء اساسي من الطريقة التي يتم فيها تحسين الكيفية التي نؤدي فيها اعمالنا ، ولانها ايضاً تتيح للعميل الطيران بالقدرات المطورة في مرحلة مبكرة وتقديم الأثر الرجعي للتأكد من ان التطويرات هي بالضبط التي يحتاجونها"

ان حزمة P2EA هي نقطة الانطلاق في طريق مشروع سنتوريون Project CENTURION الخاص بسلاح الجو الملكي البريطاني والتي تهدف الى ضمان الانتقال السلس بين مقاتلات التايفون والتورنيدو عندما تذهب الاخيرة الى خارج الخدمة في عام 2019

تطويرات مرحلة التعزيز الثانية P2E الكاملة لسلاح الجو البريطاني سوف تتضمن دمج صواريخ Meteor للقتال الجوي بعيد المدى ، وفي المرحلة التالية للتطويرات وهي مرحلة التعزيز الثالثة P3E سوف تجلب الصواريخ الجوالة Storm Shadow للضربات بعيدة المدى وصواريخ Brimstone 2 للدعم الجوي القريب وتدخلها الخدمة لطائرات التايفون (البريطانية) ، وكلا التطويرين P2E/P3E سوف تسلمان ضمن مشروع سنتوريون Project CENTURION




RAF pilots successfully test threat awareness and pilot safety enhancements for Typhoon jets





The latest enhancements for the Eurofighter Typhoon combat jet have been successfully tested by UK Royal Air Force (RAF) pilots in flight trials conducted at BAE Systems’ Military Air & Information business in Warton, Lancashire.

An early version of the Phase 2 Enhancement (P2Ea) Typhoon was flown by pilots from the RAF’s Test and Evaluation Squadron, based at RAF Coningsby. The P2Ea package incorporates software and avionics improvements such as upgrades to the radar, defensive aids systems and targeting pods. These enhancements will not only increase threat awareness and pilot safety, but also improve Typhoon’s targeting capabilities. P2Ea forms part of the full Phase 2 Enhancement (P2E) package for Typhoon.

Testing of the package will be ongoing throughout 2016 with weapons integration tests also scheduled for this year.


Wing Commander Steven Berry, Officer Commanding 41(R) Test and Evaluation Sqn, said:

“The P2Ea upgrade brings some major capability changes and some welcome tweaks to the existing capabilities. The enhancements mean as an air-to-surface platform, Typhoon has the simplicity and flexibility in the design to be easily employed in close air support missions or more complex scenarios like convoy over-watch.

“By 2019, Typhoon will be filling a lot of roles including air defence of the UK, offensive and defensive counter-air, stand-off attack and close air support. That's a lot of skills for a front line squadron to master. Typhoon needs to deliver all of that capability in a simple, reliable cockpit.”

41(R) Sqn TES (Test and Evaluation Squadron) conducted two tests on an early version of the P2Ea - a typical air-to-air exercise and an air-to-surface exercise targeting simulated targets. The feedback from these tests has been assessed and will now be used to influence the final design.

Andy Flynn, Head of Capability Delivery Programmes for Combat Air at BAE Systems, said:

“Working with the customer test teams at this stage provides us with invaluable feedback that we can assess and directly feedback into the design process. This combined testing approach is a fundamental part of how we are improving the way we do business. It allows the customer to fly capability improvements at an early stage and provide feedback to ensure the upgrades are exactly what they need.”

P2Ea is a stepping stone along the path of the RAF’s Project CENTURION designed to ensure a seamless transition between Typhoon and Tornado capabilities when Tornado goes out of service in 2019.

The full P2E upgrade for the RAF will include the integration of the MBDA Meteor Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missile. The next phase of enhancements, P3E, will bring the MBDA Storm Shadow cruise missile and MBDA Brimstone 2 close air support weapon into service on Typhoon for the UK. Both P2E and P3E will be delivered through Project CENTURION.

طبعاً 1500 لتر للخزان واحد ، وقد تم اختباره لاول مرة في عام 1999

الخزان العامل حالياً على التايفون هو بسعة 1000 لتر للخزان الواحد

في اغسطس 2014 تم استكمال التجارب الارضية لتركيب صواريخ SPEAR 3 على التايفون




وللمعلومية ان طائرة التايفون ZK355 التي ستقوم بالتجربة هي اول طائرة ترانش 3A بلوك 20 لسلاح الجو الملكي البريطاني

شركة BAE Systems البريطانية سوف تستكمل تطوير الخوذة المتطورة Striker 2 HMD خلال الاشهر القليلة القادمة

ياتي هذا بعد استكمال الطلعات الجوية الاختبارية للخوذة المتطورة للتحقق من قدرتها في الرؤية الليلية والتي قد ابتدأت منذ شهر مايو العام الماضي 2015 ، وهذا يعني ان الخوذة ستكون جاهزة كلياً بنهاية الربع الثاني من العام الحالي 2016

وقد صممت الخوذة الجديدة لمقاتلات الجيل الخامس F-35 وكذلك لمقاتلات التايفون والتي تستخدم حالياً الاصدار السابق Striker 1 HMD




Striker II HMD development nears completion

Development of the BAE Systems Striker II helmet-mounted display (HMD) is due to end in the coming months, following the completion of a flight-test campaign to validate its integrated night vision capability.

A series of night sorties have been conducted since May to test the integration of night vision capability into the display. This will lead to developmental completion of the system “by the end of the second quarter”, the company says.

“We’re just finishing off the last piece, and expect a full system to be ready by the end of the second quarter this year,” says Mark Bowman, chief test pilot at BAE.

Striker II was developed as an alternative system for the Lockheed Martin Joint Strike Fighter, but was subsequently dropped in favour of the original Vision Systems International design. The new digital Striker has been qualified on the Eurofighter Typhoon, but has yet to gain a production contract.

The analogue version, which requires separate night vision goggles, is used by Typhoon operators, but production is due to come to an end in 2016 as BAE fulfils its contracts.

Production of the HMD peaked at 22 units per month in 2015, with an average of 12 per month, but this is expected to fall over 2016.



BAE is confident the Striker II will eventually be adopted, and is looking at new technology that can be incorporated in the meantime, plus incremental upgrades for the current product.

This includes a variety of control methods, including eye tracking, blink control, and medical, sport and neurological technology.

“The company is very forward-leaning in what it is doing,” Bowman says. “There is a lot of investment in future technology. It’s very early days… we’re looking at the possibility of a spiral upgrade programme”.

Bowman says the UK’s Strategic Defence and Security Review, released in November, affirmed the relevance of the Royal Air Force’s Typhoon fleet to 2040, which will lead to either updates to the Strikers being used, or the acquisition of a new design. A sustainment contract for the delivered Strikers is also expected once production completes.

Meanwhile the company’s active flight control stick is expected to be certificated on board its first commercial platform by the end of 2016.

It is integrated on the F-35, and now the technology is becoming more advanced, this is rolling over into the civil sector on the Gulfstream G500 and G600 developmental business jets.

Noting that Gulfstream is leading in the incorporation of new technology on its aircraft, BAE says the active sticks will provide a link between the pilot and co-pilot, which appeals to potential operators of the type used to a traditional control system with inherent feedback.
