    ففي مؤتمر صحفي عقد يوم الاربعاء بمعرض دبي للطيران 2013 اعلن ان الاختبارات الارضية لدمج صاروخي Storm Shadow & Taurus الجوالين قد اكتملت وستقومان برحلة الطيران الاختبارية قبل نهاية السنة
    مممم ,,, الثور الالماني الاسباني - من ذلك العبقري الذي اختار التايفون لقواتنا
    التي تثبت يوميا انها اختيار صائب وارض خصبه للتطوير الابداعي

        نموذج التايفون المعروض بحجم كامل في معرض دبي قد احتوى على خزانات وقود متماثلة CFT لاول مرة ,, وهذه الخزانات من شأنها ان تسمح بخيارت تسليح واسعة مع مدى طويل لعمليات جو سطح بحيث تستطيع التايفون تنفيذ عمليات هجومية بعيدة المدى من خلال تركيب خزانات CFT اعلى البدن وبهذا تسمح لحمل صاروخين ستورم شادو في نقاط تعليق منتصف الاجنحة مع حزان وقود خارجي في منتصف البدن بالاضافة الى صواريخ جو جو كاملة



        وقد عرض مع النموذج المعروض حاضن التصويب سنايبر AN/AAQ-33 من الجيل الرابع صنع شركة لوكهيد مارتن الامريكية وهذا الحاضن يمكن دمجه على التايفون من خلال برنامج التعزيز الثاني P2E مع العلم ان الدول المصنعة اختارت حاضن Litening III الاسرائيلي بينما السعودية اختارت حاضن Damocles الفرنسي





        وايضاً قد عرض في جناح شركة اليوروفايتر بالمعرض رادار Captor-E AESA ذو الصفيف المتحرك صنع شركة سيليكس الايطالية ومن المقرر ان تحمله طائرتي اختبار هما IPA5 احادية المقاعد و IPA8 ثنائية المقاعد




        قدرات الحرب الالكترونية من المقرر اضافتها كجزء من برنامج التعزيز الثالث P3E بعد عام 2017 اذ ان بريطانيا تقوم الان بتمويل ابحاث في الطول الموجي المطلوب لقدرات الحرب الالكترونية تحت برنامج Bright Adder
        وسيضاف ايضاً قدرات مضادة للسفن ضمن برنامج P3E ويمكن للزبائن اختيار اي صاروخ مضاد للسفن يريدونه على التايفون وقد عرض في معرض دبي الماضي صاروخ Marte-ER وكان الصاروخ RBS-15 من ضمن العرض المقدم للهند



        Eurofighter Typhoon Path Becoming Clear

        November 18, 2013

        The path to a fully multi-role Eurofighter Typhoon is finally becoming clear. At a media briefing here tomorrow (Wednesday), the company hopes to announce the first test flight in Italy of an aircraft carrying the MBDA Storm Shadow cruise missile. The jet’s full operational clearance to drop smart bombs came recently. Meanwhile one of the prototypes will fly next spring with the Selex AESA radar.

        Neither the Storm Shadow nor the AESA radar is yet under contract. There have been media reports that Saudi Arabian money is funding these integrations. Laurie Hilditch, Eurofighter capability manager, told AIN here Monday that these were being funded by industry. However, the four European partner nations for Eurofighter have agreed the scope of “evolution packages” (EPs) that add such capability. The EP2 package was recently signed, for delivery by the end of 2015. It contains various avionics and other upgrades, including modifications to the jet’s current Captor-M radar to allow firing of the MBDA Meteor BVRAAM.

        Hilditch said that the program “was trying to make intelligent choices about weapons integration–the choices and sequence.” The Storm Shadow integration will likely form part of the Phase 2B Enhancement Package (P2E-B) for delivery by 2017. The equivalent German weapon–the KEPD 350 Taurus–will also soon fly on a test aircraft (IPA7 in Germany) “because the aerodynamics read across to the Storm Shadow clearance.”

        Dubai Show Mock-up

        While a Royal Air Force Typhoon flies in the aerial display here in Dubai, the full-scale model of the Eurofighter on the static display line is sporting conformal fuel tanks (CFTs) for the first time. These are being proposed to export customers, rather than the four European partners, although the latest-production Tranche 3 jets for Germany, Italy, Spain and UK do make structural provision for their carriage. According to Hilditch, the CFTs provide weapons carriage flexibility as well as longer range in air-surface missions. “Our preferred long-range attack configuration is two Storm Shadows, one on each center-wing pylon, plus CFTs and a supersonic fuel tank on the centerline. That allows us to retain the full air-to-air missile set for the swing role.”

        A Lockheed Martin Sniper targeting pod is displayed below the full-scale model here. Hilditch said that fourth-generation pods like this can be integrated as part of P2E. The four partner nations chose the Israeli Litening pod, so the alternative Thales Damocles pod was integrated as part of the Al-Salam contract for the Royal Saudi Air Force. Of note, the Royal Saudi Air Force already flies the Sniper pod.

        A model of the Selex E-scan (AESA) radar with its moving, wide-field-of-view antenna can be found in the Eurofighter display building outside the main hall. Debate rages between rival radar houses about the pros and cons of repositioning AESA arrays, but Hilditch said, “We’ve done a lot of work on the e-scan proposal.” Eurofighter is planning to fly two jets with the E-scan radar, the single-seat IPA5 and the twin-seat IPA8. “The E-scan radar will be available to the market when our current and potential customers need it,” the company said.

        Eurofighter has made only passing reference to the electronic attack (EA) possibilities that are an inherent capability of AESA radars. The UK is known to be funding research into the waveforms required for EA under the Bright Adder program. This capability would likely be added as part of a Phase 3 Enhancement (P3E) package sometime after 2017.

        P3E could also include anti-ship missiles (AShMs), which are likely to be required by current and future export customers. At the last Dubai Airshow, Eurofighter displayed a Marte AShM, but the Saab Rbs15 was in the offer that Eurofighter made to the Indian air force. Hilditch said that the customers could decide which AShMs they prefer.

          في 27 نوفمبر طارت طائرة التايفون للرحلات الاختبارية IPA2 التابعة لشركة الينيا ايرماكي الايطالية وهي تحمل لاول مرة على متنها صاروخي Storm Shadow ,, وقد تم حمل الصاروخين والتي يزن كل منهما 1.3 طن على نقطتي التعليق والتي عادة كانتا تحملان خزانات الوقود الخارجية

          اعمال دمج الستورم شادو على التايفون ستنتهي في 2015 لتضيف حينها قدرات قصف جو ارض بعيدة المدى اذ يبلغ مداها نحو 250 كلم


          Eurofighter flies with Storm Shadow missiles


          MBDA’s Storm Shadow cruise missile has been flown with a Eurofighter Typhoon for the first time, with the combination having got airborne from Decimomannu air base in Sardinia on 27 November. Two of the roughly 1.3t weapons were carried by the combat aircraft, using hardpoints usually occupied by external fuel tanks.



          Performed by Alenia Aermacchi using instrumented production aircraft 2, the first airborne carriage trial marks the latest stage in a process which will clear the more than 250km (460nm)-range weapon for use with the Eurofighter from 2015. The work falls within a Phase 2 enhancement programme being conducted for core nations Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK.

          “Storm Shadow is a major step forward, significantly increasing the air-to-ground capabilities of the Typhoon,” says Eurofighter chief executive Alberto Gutierrez. Its integration with the type will maintain the stand-off-range strike capabilities of the Italian air force and UK Royal Air Force after they retire their current Panavia Tornado IDS and GR4 fleets from late this decade.

          Versions of the European-built weapon could also be employed by Saudi Arabia and potential Typhoon customer the United Arab Emirates.

              Eurofighter to fly with Storm Shadow missile soon

              Eurofighter has accelerated plans to integrate the MBDA Storm Shadow cruise missile with the Typhoon in response to a pressing requirement from Saudi Arabia.



              As part of a wider rescheduling of the plan – known as the Phase 2 Enhancement (P2E) programme – to introduce new combat capabilities on the Typhoon, Eurofighter will begin Storm Shadow test flights on a Typhoon any day now. Under the revised P2E plan, Storm Shadow integration has been accelerated with a target date of 2015 for weapon availability. However, the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) is pressing for the work to be completed earlier, and has requested a Storm Shadow capability by 2014.

              According to Eurofighter, Ground tests with the Storm Shadow and Taurus missiles have already been completed, and intensive flight test campaigns will begin imminently. Both missiles will further increase the air-to-ground capabilities of the Eurofighter Typhoon. The first Tranche 3 aircraft will perform its first flight by year-end and Phase 1 Enhancements will be completed within this timeframe. This was announced on Wednesday during a Media Briefing at the Dubai Air Show 2013. The event takes place from the 17th to 21st of November in the United Arab Emirates.

              The weapon, a mock-up of which appears beneath the wing of the full-sized Typhoon model in the static display at the show, has long been part of the manufacturer’s plans for the platform. Its integration will be of particular interest at the show, given that current Typhoon customer Saudi Arabia and potential customer the United Arab Emirates both have the missile in their inventories and as mentioned above, Saudi Arabia pushing for integration.

              “We’ve been working on Storm Shadow integration for the best part of a year, in terms of design concepts and avionics,” says Laurie Hilditch, Eurofighter’s head of future capabilities. Eurofighter has the aircraft “sitting technically ready to go, just waiting for the final pieces of legal paperwork.”

                Storm Shadow

                Italian aerospace company Alenia Aeronautica is leading the integration of the
                Storm Shadow conventionally armed stand-off cruise missile (CASOM) on
                Typhoon. UK-based BAE Systems has a major workshare in the Typhoon-Storm
                Shadow integration programme and holds the ICDs (interface control documents)
                to support the requirements of its customers, including the RAF.


                Work Share

                As part of its workshare, BAE Systems has already started initial work for
                the integration trials of the Storm Shadow CASOM on the Typhoon. The
                company will be involved with all of the aerodynamic disciplines: flutter,
                engine intake compatibility, flight performance (take off, landing and inflight),
                design and clearance control for the FCS, static and dynamic loads
                and structure coupling.
                And the UK aerospace company will also test Storm Shadow load
                configurations on Typhoon in its wind tunnel using 12th, 20th or 50th scale
                models. The company conducts two types of wind tunnel tests; six component
                testing for basic aerodynamic information and installed store loads testing. The
                latter uses a small strain gauge balance placed inside the model of the Storm
                Shadow to gather load data to determine the clearance limits of the store and to
                certify carriage on Typhoon.
                Two kinds of load will be determined, one when the missile is installed on the
                aircraft and the other in free air, and the aerodynamic influence of each will define
                the starting point for SR&J trials. Blending the two load types together allows the
                trajectory of a store release to be modelled.


                Flight Trials

                The Alenia weapons integration team based in Turin has already gained clearance
                for flutter, FCS and loads in preparation for air vehicle integration trials to be flown
                in Italy by the end of 2013.

                The flight test team will conduct a series of flutter, environmental gathering and
                aerodynamic data gathering flight trials to determine how carrying Storm Shadow
                affects the handling qualities of the aircraft and the handling characteristics felt by
                the pilot.
                The flutter characteristics of the aircraft will change because of the shape
                and size of the missile (Storm Shadow is 5.10m/16.8ft long, and weighs
                1,300kg/2,866lb).
                The environmental effect experienced by Storm Shadow on Typhoon will also
                be tested using an instrumented test round to gather the data. MBDA uses that
                data to verify that the weapon will operate appropriately on the aircraft.
                Successful completion of the trials will ensure that Typhoon can be flown within
                its current envelope when loaded with Storm Shadow missiles.
                SR&J trials will follow during the first quarter of 2014. All Storm Shadow flight
                trials will involve two load configurations comprising one or two missiles carried
                on the centre wing pylons.

                The current Typhoon-Storm Shadow trial programme is due to start before the
                end of this year and run for 18 to 24 months. BAE Systems will lead on avionics
                integration and weapon system performance which occur in the latter stages of
                the Storm Shadow trials.

                A location for the end-to-end firing trials has yet to be decided, but because of
                the size of the weapon danger area needed, it is likely the Outer Hebrides range
                would be used if BAE Systems is selected to conduct the trials.
                Under the current plan, BAE Systems will conduct its first test flights
                in 2014.

                        الترانش 3A هي ليست فقط رادار ايسا وخزانات متماثلة ودفع موجه,, بل هي اكثر من ذلك

                        اول طائرة من هذه الفئة (رقم البناء BS116 والرقم التسلسلي ZK355) والتي طارت في رحلتها الاولى قبل ايام تعتبر حالياً اكثر طائرة تايفون تطوراً وحداثة اذ تختلف عن طائرات التايفون الموجودة بالخدمة حالياً بانه قد تم اجراء اكثر من 350 تعديل هندسي عليها

                        من ضمن التعديلات اضافة نقاط اتصال على البدن وتقوية الهيكل في مكان تموضع خزانات الوقود المتماثلة CFT وكذلك اضافة مضختي وقود صغيرين في الجزء الخلفي من البدن وقد تم تعديل بعض انابيب الوقود لاجل ذلك

                        خزانات ال CFT يبلغ وزنهما معاً 4500 باوند (2043 كلغ) وكلاهما يتسع ل 3000 لتر من الوقود بواقع 1500 لكل واحد ,, اما في حال استخدام خزانات الوقود الخارجية فالتايفون تستطيع حمل ثلاث حزانات خارجية سعة 1000 لتر (اثنان تحت الاجنحة وواحدة تحت البدن) اي باجمالي 3000 لتر للخزانات الثلاث ,, لذلك استخدام ال CFT بدلاً من الخزانات الخارجية توفر نفس سعة ثلاث خزانات خارجية وايضاً تحرير نقاط التعليق لحمل ذخائر اضافية كما ان المقاومة التي تسببها ال CFT اقل من المقاومة الناتجة عن استخدام ثلاث خزانات خارجية والدول المهتمة بهذه الخزانات المتماثلة هما بريطانيا والسعودية فقط ولا اعلم بشأن عمان مع العلم ان طلبيتها ال 12 طائرة هي ترانش 3A

                        ايضاً تم اضافة خاصية التخلص السريع من الوقود عند الحاجة (Fuel Dump) عن طريق انبوبين موجودان تحت الاجنحة وهذه الخاصية تستخدم في حالة الهبوط الاضطراري اذ تستوجب التخلص السريع من الوقود تجنباً لانفجار الطائرة عند الهبوط الاضطراري

                        مقدمة انف الطائرة تم تعزيزها وتقويتها حتى تستطيع حمل 100 كلغ اضافية للرادار AESA وهذا الرادار ذو الهوائي المتحرك ستحلق به طائرة الاختبار IPA5 في اوائل العام القادم 2014 ثم تستكمل الاختبرات عليها بواسطة طائرة الاختبار IPA8 ليكون جاهز للعملاء في 2015 لمن يطلبها ,, ال 112 طائرة ترانش 3A التي وقع عقدها في 2009 للدول المصنعة لن تحمل الرادار AESA بل ستكون مجهزة بالرادار الميكانيكي Captor-M لحين عام 2017 وما بعدها اذ انهم يعملون على نسختهم الخاصة من الرادار AESA سيكون جاهزاً لما بعد 2017

                        اما بالنسبة للافيونكس فقد تم زيادة سعة كمبيوتر المهام ورفع القدرة الحاسوبية لها ,, ايضاً تم تزويد طائرات ترانش 3 بشبكة بيانات عالية السرعة وبجيل جديد من الياف البصرية من اجل دمج ذخائر متقدمة مستقبلية

                        كل هذا يقدم بالنهاية منصة جوية مرنة عالية التقنية متعددة الادوار ذات اداء عالي

                              Delivery of 400th Typhoon aircraft




                              The 400th Eurofighter Typhoon, the world’s leading swing role fighter jet, has been delivered to its worldwide customer base

                              The delivery

                              The German Air Force has today taken delivery of the 400th aircraft during special ceremony at Cassidian’s Military Air Systems Center in Manching, Southern Germany. It was built by the Eurofighter consortium, which includes us.

                              Demonstrating high operational effectiveness

                              In the past 10 years the global Eurofighter Typhoon fleet has demonstrated its high operational effectiveness in international missions and trainings and accumulated more than 210,000 flying hours. Several developments such as the Phase 1 Enhancement, the integration of the METEOR air-to-air missile, the new electronic radar (E-Scan) and additional weaponry increase the capabilities of the Eurofighter Typhoon and secure the future of this modern combat aircraft in the next decades.

                              In the hundreds

                              The delivery of the very first Eurofighter Typhoon to the Royal Air Force in the United Kingdom took place end of 2003. The 100th Eurofighter was delivered also to the Royal Air Force in September 2006. The 200th aircraft was handed over in November 2009 to the German Air Force. The 300th aircraft was delivered to the Spanish Air Force in November 2011.

                              In attendance

                              At the ceremony, the State Secretary of the German Ministry of Defence, Christian Schmidt, received the aircraft with the markings ‘31+06’. The event was witnessed by several high ranking representatives from politics and industry including: the Bavarian Minister for Economic Affairs, Media, Energy and Technology, Ilse Aigner; the Chief Executive Officer of Cassidian, Bernhard Gerwert, and representatives from the British, Spanish and Italian Eurofighter Partner companies.

                              A historic milestone

                              Alberto Gutierrez, Chief Executive Officer of Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH, said: “The delivery of the 400th Eurofighter Typhoon marks a historic milestone in Europe’s largest defence programme. Now we must focus much more strongly on export campaigns in order to win new contracts and new customers for this outstanding aircraft. Right now, especially in these difficult times in the defence industry, it is more important than ever that we stand up and be counted. That is what today is all about.”

                              A reliable backbone of many Air Forces

                              The General Manager of NATO Eurofighter and Tornado Management Agency (NETMA), Jesus Pinillos, added: "Eurofighter Typhoon secures the airspace of six nations 24 hours a day, seven days a week even under extreme arctic weather conditions on the Falkland Islands. The aircraft has proven itself as a reliable backbone of the Air Forces in Germany, Italy, Spain, and in the UK as well as in Austria and Saudi Arabia. The reliability of the Eurofighter Typhoon in its global missions has surpassed expectations."

                                Tranche 3 Typhoon makes its debut flight

                                The first Tranche 3 production example of the Eurofighter Typhoon performed its debut flight on 2 December, from BAE Systems’ Warton assembly site in Lancashire, the UK.

                                Flown by BAE test pilot Nat Makepeace, single-seat BS116 is one of 40 Tranche 3 aircraft that will be produced for the UK Royal Air Force, equipped with a series of enhancements over previous examples. Germany, Italy and Spain will receive a combined further 72 Eurofighters in the new standard.



                                “At the nose, a new internal structure has been built, and work has been carried out on power, cooling and electronics so that a new E-scan [active electronically scanned array] radar could be accommodated,” says Mark Kane, BAE’s managing *director, combat air. The Euroradar consortium and Selex ES are working on candidate systems, with BAE having already performed a trial installation with the UK’s Typhoon instrumented production aircraft 5. This is currently being *prepared at Warton to make its first flight carrying the sensor, BAE says.

                                Another design change introduced for the Tranche 3 standard will give operators the option of installing conformal fuel tanks with their aircraft.
                                Early windtunnel work has been performed on the design change, which will be the subject of future flight-testing.



                                “Once fitted, these would give the aircraft greater range, and free up positions under the aircraft for larger or additional weapons,” Kane says. Partner company Alenia Aermacchi in late November conducted the first flight test of a Eurofighter carrying two MBDA Storm Shadow cruise missiles: a stand-off-range type which will be employed with the Typhoon for at least Italy and the UK.

                                BAE notes that the Tranche 3 enhancements will “future-proof the aircraft and make it more attractive to current and potential export customers”.



                                The Typhoon has already been introduced by international operators Austria and Saudi Arabia, ordered by Oman and is currently being offered to nations including Bahrain and Malaysia and the UAE.


                                The first Tranche 3 production example of the Eurofighter Typhoon performed its debut flight on 2 December, from BAE Systems' Warton assembly site in Lancashire, the UK.
